Finally in progress

Ugh.
Sorry the posting has been so slow, I've been really busy the past few weeks.

Anyways, below and above are a few photos of the new ring I just finished. It took a while, because I can't seem to get my resin to cure right, so I had to sand off a sticky layer that was on the ring, which left a few scratches and marks. But other than that, it's great!
It's a tiny little rain cloud, with showers sprinkling down. It's fairly small, but it wouldn't fit if it was any bigger. I think it's my new favorite.

I'll try to keep posting as much as i can, but I make no promises. See you later!

Resin, rings, and some more things found

{colorful resin rings by Jasmine Scott
and the "Blop" ring by Germany's Alessandra Pizzini}

Sorry, I couldn't help but post these wonderful rings I found.
I first found Jasmine Scott through her Etsy account, her rings are like none others. I then later discovered her website, where she displays all of her other work, where you can also purchase any rings. She spends hours creating each one, and if I had the money, I'd buy them all.
The Carrot Box, as I talked about before, is where I discovered the "Blop" ring by Alessandra Pizzini. I might have posted this ring because I like the name so much, but that's beside the point.
If I could make this ring easily, I would.

I'm planning on making a few more ring designs soon, and one design was inspired by a snowglobe. I'll tell you more about that later.
I ran out of resin on Friday. I have about 2 rings to make before it's all gone. I plan to go buy some soon, and maybe a better quality. The kind I had was all bubbly, and the clear rings turned out frosty. Right after I removed a few rings from their molds, I found a tiny little shop selling mostly train and airplane models, and the tiny things to add on to it. There, I found exactly what I was looking for: tiny little plastic people! I got the 'window shoppers' set, and they're all looking around everywhere. The set was over 11 dollars for only about 6 of them! I almost stopped moving when I saw how expensive they were, considering how much plastic goes into them. My alchemy bid for them didn't go well, and I still can't find any little penguins, my favorites. I'm thinking the rings will kinda creep me out, though, them sitting there all frozen, immobile and tiny-like. Shudder.
Well, I'll keep posting as much as I can, but for now, I'm only running out of time. See you later!

New

New. That's it. My newest creations:
This aqua bubble ring is one of my favorites! It came out so perfect, it almost needs no sanding and buffing. You can't see it in the picture, but the ring was originally going to be clear, so there is a tiny bit of clear resin mixed in. The other, a clear ring I made last night, has a tiny little piece of paper inside, that says 'hello.' I was playing with my quill and experimenting with making different inks, and I just dipped my pen in and wrote hello. None of these are finished yet.
Although it doesn't look the best, this piece is going to be turned into a necklace. I just have a little sanding to do, then I'll drill the holes and attach the chain. I'm so excited!
This little house and this little ring were inspired by all the little houses that I see. I got home one day, and I just started sketching out a whole bunch of different jewelry pieces.
The ring came out kind of big, but I plan to fix that later.

I hope you liked the new pictures!

Frozen in time

I really like these resin rings. It's like the animals and children are frozen -- the little penguin frozen in the ice up in Antarctica. That's what it seems like.
I found them on this website a while ago, and I just remembered them. I've been looking all over for some tiny figurines to put inside resin--especially the penguin and the little kids.
I think The Carrot Box is where I found it, most likely. I spent hours looking at all the rings she finds.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, there are so many things to do! I'll post some cool things I'm making later this weekend.
